What are the differences between Saros 10R's solid-state LiDAR (3D ToF) and Saros 10's Retractable LDS? Which is better?

Saros 10 and Saros 10R use different navigation technologies:

  1. Saros 10R - 3D ToF System: The 3D ToF sensor is compact and integrates all functions without mechanical rotation, improving stability and reducing height (from 10.3 cm to 7.98 cm). Combined with an RGB camera and VertiBeam Lateral Obstacle Avoidance, it ensures precise navigation and obstacle avoidance.
  2. Saros 10 - Retractable LDS: The retractable LDS helps Saros 10 low to 7.98 cm, and it also offers a 100° FOV to prevent mapping errors when retractable LDS lowers itself. Combined with Tri-Laser Structured Light, RGB camera and VertiBeam Lateral Obstacle Avoidance, it ensures precise navigation and obstacle avoidance.

Summary:
Both systems offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance.
